Over 50 dancers attended the XS 2012 Casting session held on Monday 9th January at Milton Community Centre. The dancers represented a wide range of abilities from complete beginners in Latin American dance to very experienced competitors.
Everyone had an opportunity to learn some of the current B team routine, based on the musical Cabaret, and then some of the brand new A team routine in a very enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere. Head coach, David Mallabone, was delighted with the standard of dancers in attendance at the casting session and believes that it augers well for the 2012 season for both the A and the B team.

The club is aimed at amateur Latin American dancers aged between 15 and 40 and has dancers at every level from absolute beginners to dancers who have placed in the top 48 of the British National Amateur Latin Championships. To be eligible to compete with one of our teams then you must not be a professional ballroom or Latin American dancer or hold a professional teaching qualification from one of the nationally recognised dance teaching bodies (e.g. ISTD, IDTA, NATD etc).
