XS Latin A and B Team Casting Session for the 2012 Season

The 2012 season will see XS Latin A dancing a very exciting new routine and XS Latin B building on their Cabaret programme.

Castings for both teams for the new season will take place on Monday 9th January at Milton Community Centre from 20:20 to 22:20.  Dancers aged from 15 to 40 are welcome to attend, regardless of levels of experience.  You do not need to bring a partner and you do not need to have had any previous latin formation experience to come along.  To compete with one of our teams you must not be a professional ballroom or Latin American dancer or a professionally qualified teacher of dance with one of the recognised dance teaching organisations (e.g. IDTA, ISTD, NATD etc).

XS Latin ends 2011 in style in Vienna

XS Latin A and B teams travelled to Vienna for the annual Danube Cup on 17th December 2011.  The first division had an entry of 13 teams, including the recent World Championship finalists Zwölfwaxing A team, the German first division team Backnang A team and XS Latin A team. The second division had an entry of 11 teams and was XS Latin B team’s first international competition.

Dancesport Latin Training resumes in January

That there will be no Dancesport Latin Training on the 15th December as XS Latin will be travelling to Vienna very early on the 16th to compete in the annual Danube Cup. Therefore, there will be no DLT on the 15th, 22nd, or 29th December. The class will resume again on the 5th Jan.

Zuvedra wins the 2011 World Latin Formation Championships

On December 2nd 2011, XS Latin A team flew to Vilnius in Lithuania for the 2011 World Latin Formation Championships.  The anticipation for this competition had been building for several months: the host team had prepared very hard for the competition but were to face stiff competition from the 2010 World Champions, Vera, from Russia and the 2009 World Champions, GGC Bremen, who had just convincingly won the German Nationals with their new routine, Blast.
