The first training session for XS Latin this year saw the commencement of training on a new routine, entitled On Broadway. The new routine takes its inspiration from musicals of Broadway and the West End, and the music includes snippets of songs such as Big Spender, Whatever Lola Wants and Aquarius. The first competitive performance of the new routine is scheduled for the European Championships in May, which gives the team less time than they’ve ever had before to learn and refine the six minutes of choreography.

Taking its inspiration from some of the classic musicals of the 1960s and 1970s, On Broadway aimed to capture the feeling of the Broadway or West End theatre land.
